 Prayer Requests:

A form on which you can write the name of anyone you would like to be mentioned in our Prayers of Intercession can be found on the window sill in the vestibule

Covenant Service 19th January

Our service this year will be led by Rev Ruth Parry – our acting Superintendent.  Ruth works partly in our circuit and also alongside Steve Barlow and Heather Shipman on the District Support Team.  She is a good speaker and is looking forward to coming to EKMC.

We normally get a really good turn out from St Mary Magdalene and All Hallows’ and most people stay for lunch when we serve a choice of homemade soup with rolls and cheese followed by homemade puddings.

Please let Penny know if you can help with this.

Pastoral Visiting  If you have any concerns about someone, or you would like a visit from a member of the pastoral team yourself, please contact Michelle, our pastoral secretary (number below).

Used Postage Stamps for the M.E. Association  Please put any stamps you have saved from your Christmas cards in the box on the window sill by the back door.

New National Methodist Choir
The choir will bring together singers from across the Methodist Church and will be a living demonstration that the Methodist Church wasn’t just born in song, but is thriving in song now, too. Open, contemporary, ambitious, hospitable, forward-facing, celebratory, and joyful in sharing the Good News through the best of music, from all musical genre.  Details of the first course will be announced in the New Year.

Dates for your Diary this Month:

Lunchtime concert at Boston Spa Methodist Church  Friday 10th January 1pm, a piano recital by Adam Parrish.  Light lunches served from noon.  Concert admission £5

This month’s Souper Thursday will be on 30th January.  Please join us if you are able.

Looking Ahead

Vision Day, Tuesday 11th Feb 10am-2pm  We are invited to reflect on our journey as church, to consider different elements of being church including our worship, our garden, outreach and mission; and reflecting on our vision for the future.  Tea/coffee will be served on arrival and bacon sandwiches for lunch.
